About Cash
My name is Councilman Cal "Cash" Jackson-Green, but most people know me simply as Cash Green. It is my honor to represent Virginia Beach City Council District 7, where I lead with one guiding principle:
People Over Party.
I believe public service is about listening to residents, finding common ground, and delivering results for the community—not focusing on political labels. My commitment is to every resident, every neighborhood, and every family that calls Virginia Beach home.
My priorities include strengthening public safety, expanding economic and workforce opportunities, investing in our youth, improving infrastructure, supporting small businesses, and building meaningful partnerships with civic leagues, community organizations, schools, and local leaders.
Since taking office, I have worked to address neighborhood concerns, advocate for improvements across District 7, support youth and workforce initiatives, and serve as a liaison on multiple City Council assignments that connect residents with City government and community resources.

I value transparency in decision-making processes, ensuring that constituents know what is happening and why.Accountability: I believe an elected official should take responsibility for their actions, decisions, and the outcomes of their policies. Accountability to the people is key to maintaining trust and respect.Commitment to Service: An elected official should prioritize serving the community above all else. For you, this means being actively involved, going door-to-door to meet constituents, and listening to their concerns and ideas.
Diplomacy and Communication:
Effective communication and the ability to navigate differing perspectives are essential. I emphasize diplomacy in resolving conflicts and finding common ground to achieve the best outcomes for the community.
Leadership and Vision:
Elected officials should have a clear vision for the future and the courage to lead. I'm committed to advancing policies that improve economic opportunities, education, and community safety while inspiring others to work together for positive change.
A Thriving Local Economy:
I aim to be remembered as a leader who championed small businesses, created job opportunities, and attracted investments that strengthened the local economy. By supporting tax credits, business incentives, and job readiness programs, I would leave behind a more prosperous community where both businesses and individuals can thrive.
Improved Education System:
My legacy will reflect a deep commitment to education. I want to be known for empowering teachers, enhancing resources in schools, and creating opportunities for youth development. I would leave behind a community where education is prioritized and every child has the tools to succeed.
A Safer, Healthier Community:
By addressing youth gun violence and advocating for mental health services, I aim to leave a legacy of safety and well-being. I want to be remembered for making Virginia Beach a safer place, with improved social services that support mental health, especially for the youth and vulnerable populations.
Inclusive Leadership:
Finally, I would like to leave a legacy of inclusive and transparent leadership — one where all voices in the community are heard, and decisions are made with the people’s best interests at heart. I want to be remembered as a leader who stood up for working families, seniors, veterans, and marginalized groups, leaving behind a stronger, more united district.
